“If one could run without getting tired I don’t think one would often want to do anything else.” -C.S. Lewis
Yes, I believe this is true. When I take off on a long run, especially one through the trails that takes me away from it all, I believe I would run forever on certain days if I could. There is something magical about the freedom and the sense of accomplishment that is earned through the mud, sweat, and eventual exhaustion that cannot be earned any other way. With these thoughts, I’m off for my run in the gentle rain, the mud and cloudy skies on this beautiful Sunday morning!
