So, after my block workout on Saturday, I knew I had to take it easy on Sunday. I decided that I should probably put a run in. I ended up running 3.3 miles in about 28 minutes. Not great but not too bad either. I was definitely feeling all the work that I had done the day before.
Later in the afternoon I also went for a short bike ride (a little over 5 miles) with my mom. It was a nice way to end the day. The weather was just gorgeous and you could see for miles! Everything was so green and perfect.
Today, I ended up doing a long bike ride. I rode for about 1 hr 40 minutes. During that time, I managed to bike the entire length of West River Road and ended up in Fort Edward. I decided that I did not want to back-track down West River Road again, so I returned via Route 4 into Schuylerville. Overall, (according to google maps) I biked 25.6 miles today – the ride was amazing. I rode up one side of the Hudson and back down the other. The only part that I could have done without was the Steel Deck Bridge in Northumberland… I ended up walking across it, and was very happy that there was not a lot of traffic. Also, I was amazed at the amount of road kill on that bridge. I guess the animals must need the bridge to get across the river too.
Again, today, the weather was amazing. Couldn’t of asked for a better day. I hope next time I head East that the weather is just as good! I also need to think up a good long bike trip for my next venture. Maybe I should conquer the battlefield… anyone want to join me? 🙂
